Director's Message:
It gives me great joy to come into to work as each day brings with it a new opportunity. Whether it is the facilitation of a multi-million dollar trade deal, set-up of cultural exchanges, planning for new courses implementing the latest language learning technologies, or just young minds needing to be nurtured, there’s never a dull moment for me or Ni Hao!.
At the school's inception, I never could have imagined the progress we have made. Starting in a spare room rented across from my apartment with two teachers and ten students, and ending up educating at over 35 major institutions including the Indian Army, the growth and progress over the last four years have been incredible. Perhaps our exponential growth is a testament to the potential of friendship between India and China, or just one to our founding principle of complete education. At Ni Hao!, students are taught Chinese, but the real learning is done during our field trips, demonstrations, clubs, and discussions. Our belief stands resolute that language is nothing without culture, and it seems to have worked thus far.
I feel in my heart that we can not afford to lose an attitude of Hindi-Chini Bhai Bhai; India and China’s commonalities far outweigh any differences. Thus, we have much work to do yet. Ni Hao! will continue spreading friendship and understanding between India and China through a diverse array of methods, this is a promise. We thank deeply all those who have helped us accomplish our dreams thus far.
Why don’t you get involved too?
